But sometimes being overwhelmed with activity is unavoidable, and so this GTD idea intrigues me. It was a just a little bit scary, with all those ominous-looking brushes hitting against the door windows, just centimeters away from where I was sitting. But I'm hoping that this brief reunion will be the spark that we all need to keep in better contact in the future. The festival does take its toll on this town. So I only had a couple. The summer is almost over, and things are beginning to get back to normal, after the hectic nature of the Festival. In all, I've sung in a total of four different concerts and five different church services in the last month. But with everyone packing up and heading home over the next few days, I'm sure the city will feel suddently very quiet. The summer is almost over, and things are beginning to get back to normal, after the hectic nature of the Festival.
It felt a bit strange to have the bar open for normal business while filming was in progress, but also interesting for us to be in the midst of all this action. Certainly, several of the places I visited were mobbed with people, and some were turning away visitors. And one of the advantages of living in Edinburgh, is that interesting things can happen completely out of the blue. The summer is almost over, and things are beginning to get back to normal, after the hectic nature of the Festival. They tell you that it's going to fire at one o'clock. Luckily for me however, I managed to escape a full afternoon's drinking, as I needed to go and visit a sick friend. This departing friend had organised his final farewell drinks in one of Edinburgh's most famous public houses. Since then, I've perked up a bit; that's despite having received another job rejection letter.
In all, I've sung in a total of four different concerts and five different church services in the last month. What I didn't realise was that they were actually filming scenes inside the bar, while us customers enjoyed our drinks in the adjoining side room. But in contrast, today has been especially unproductive. It was quite a loud sound, and some of the crowd were quite shocked. Early rain this morning put me off the idea of going out for the day, so I've been hanging around at home most of the time. Since then, I've perked up a bit; that's despite having received another job rejection letter. And for that, you can't help but enjoy their efforts. So I only had a couple. And best of all, it felt almost as if we had never been apart. As such, with the continuing televisation of all the Rebus stories, the Oxford must earn a fortune in location fees from all the film crews passing through. And I don't want to end up being bored at home with nothing to do. But no matter about that. And I did end up having a truely fantastic summer.
