Teen idol Selena Gomez just become the newest celebrity to have their social media accounts hijacked and misused, after a hacker posted offensive messages from her Face book and Twitter profiles. A hacker calling himself “PkinJ0r” took credit for the concession in a video posted on YouTube. He claim to have done it on a confront and just to show Face book’s deprived safety.
The hacker claim not to have made any change to the account, but yet, Ms. Gomez’s wall got filled by vulgar status updates posted on her behalf. One of them read “Oh yen, JUSTIN BIEBER SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!”
According to TMZ, the young actress’ reps rapidly regain manage of the profile and it seem that her Twitter account was also exaggerated.”Sorry everyone. My Face book Page and Twitter account has been hacked and we are cleaning it up,” Ms. Gomez later posted. It’s unclear at this time if the Face book and Twitter incidents are related and the methods used to hack into the accounts remain unknown.
It might have been a diversity of things, from insecure passwords to phishing and even hacking of a computer used to right of entry them. Guns N’ Roses front man Axl Rose, rapper Kanye West, pop diva Britney Spears, TV host Kirstie Allsopp, Ja Rule, Dorion Stanberry and many others also had their online accounts hijacked.
